Mock Parenting project
The purpose of this activity is to simulate the attention and care needed to care for a baby.
Grading
Each topic should include a photo (5 points each) and description (10 points each). Students will also receive 10 points for having an un-cracked egg on Friday, October 20th.
Topics
Safe play: Baby can’t handle rough play until they can hold their head up. Describe how you would play with your baby until they are ready to wrestle.
Yum-Yum: Make food for your baby. Your description should include what you made, how you made it, and what age your baby would be when you introduced that food.
On the Go: When transporting baby it is important to use the correct car seat. Please describe the different types of seats and when to use each.
Sweet Dreams: Demonstrate and explain the correct way to put baby down for a nap.
Sitter/Playdate: Who makes a good or bad sitter? Explain who watched your egg-baby and if that person was a good choice.
Sleepless Night: Set your alarm for every two hours. Make sure you document your night and write about how the lack of sleep made you feel the next day.
